About me
I am a Pennsylvania-based artist inspired by nature’s rhythms, colors, and patterns. I hold a BA in Studio Art from Kenyon College and an M.Ed. from the University of Pennsylvania. I spent over 25 years working in television and teaching while maintaining a dedicated art practice.
I use a variety of materials, from watercolors and inks—creating lighter, smaller pieces—to acrylics, acrylic pens, and colored pencils. With my larger acrylic pieces, my process is one of layering, then scraping and sanding to reveal and discover hidden colors and textures. Bold, eye-catching colors and dynamic patterns are central to my work, bringing energy and movement to all my pieces. My paintings reflect my perception of anything from trees, pebbles, and beaches to overhead views of landscapes and streams, translating my daily world into abstract compositions.
